Depression, anxiety disorders, and students who have experienced trauma have increased across the globe in the past decade.

Clapsaddle, Assistant Professor, Southeast Missouri State University, Department of Leadership, Middle, & Secondary Education, received her doctorate from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL. She taught in Illinois and has been affiliated with literacy and adolescent learners who struggle with literacy, students with at-risk labels, and teacher preparation.
